As the racers blast off, sabotage cripples Ava’s vessel, turning a precision course into a fight for survival. She uncovers hidden code in the navigation system that points to a secret object in deep space, something worth far more than prize money or fame. The race is revealed as cover for a covert grab at alien technology silently waiting beyond lunar orbit.
With fuel dwindling and orbital debris turning into weapons, Ava must form an uneasy alliance with Jack while both are hunted by their own sponsors. Ground control is hacked and communications fracture, leaving the crews to trust only what they can see through their cockpit glass.
The final leg takes them into a lethal gravity sling where one mistake means burning up in the atmosphere. To stop the weaponization of the alien find, someone has to break the rules of the race and possibly never return.
